Obama keeps his mouth shut when there is a call to fight for the rights of Jews and Israel.

Reader comment on item: One Cheer for Obama's Arab-Israeli Policy

My guess is that Obama stumbled upon the idea that the Arabs have to do something for Israel in order for Israel to do something for them. All he wanted was a little less hostility from the Arabs while the Jews were asked to stop building in Judea and Sumeria .The Israelis did not like this new arrangement and Bibi said to Obama a word he did not expect to hear - NO.The disapointments did not stop there. The Saudis said No too , no to even jus a little polite conversation.Obama found himself learning the ME, somewthing he did not bother to study beforehand.

Obama is in the process of learning many things. He understands now that bowing down to the Saudi king did not buy him any favors with this man because he is the one calling the shots. The Saudi king is mad as hell that he calls the shots over America but not over Israel.Isn't life a bitch. However he is learning too and he is beginning to understand that he has no hold on Israel and he can squeek from here to the end of the desert - to no avail. However, allowing Jews to visit his sands can do some good .

Too bad that Obama did not spell out how many Arabs are using the maginificent services of the Israeli hospitals while Jews are not allowed to visit , let alone live, in Arab countries.

Obama has a big mouth but he seems to keep it shut when there is a call to fight for the rights of Jews and Israel.
