Who are the "we"!! that makes you claim and conclude that the school is an arabic school and not a muslim one, did they look at the charter of the school and the structure of the classes, did they look at the board of directors. And if changes happened since the inception of the school they happened because the cover and the mask they wanted to operate under was peeled off by the uproar of concerned citizens. SURPRISE!!!!

The selection of Gibran's name for the muslim school was nothing but to dilute the true reason for such a school to exist. I guess PC at its best. Gibran was a CHRISTIAN. Maybe the school should have selected the name of one of the muslim Arab poets to be named after. And there are plenty.

Since you advocate the knowledge of civilization, and nations, you are absolutely right, Arabs originated from the desert gulf area - you can check their conquests throughout history, that will show you the spread of their language. Gibran was not an Arab, he was LEBANESE who merely wrote in Arabic. Does every one that writes in English means he is British? Far from it.!!!
