Reader comment on item: Zionism's Bleak Present

What is happening in Israel is what happened in the Serbian holy land of Kosovo. Through demographic pressures of a high birthrate combined with the failures of Tito's system and the simplistic assumptions of the international community toward the recent Balkan conflict, Kosovo is now lost to a culture that is busy tearing down Christian monasteries that are over a thousand years old.

I told many Serbs a few years ago to disassemble their holiest monasteries, scrape of the topsoil at the 1389 field where the Battle of Kosovo against the Ottoman empire took place, and then move it all north to Souther Serbia and create a new Kosovo free of Islam's relentless birthrate.

I would suggest that the Jews dismantle the Wailing Wall and the other most important symbols of Jewish culture and then move everyone to someplace in Utah or Nevada. We have plenty of space and would welcome, at least I would, this energetic and creative people who have disproportionately contributed to progress in every field of art, science, and philosophy over the past centuries. Call this large area New Israel and why not? If Mormons can have a semi-theocratic state I trust the Jews of Israel to be more modern and more secular.

I would suggest that Christians do the same with critical sites in Jerusalem, Nazareth, and Bethlehem. Once the process is complete, and once we develop more alternative energy sources, we can tell the Arabs to eat sand since it is unlikely they will every modernize or create an advanced society on their own. Even the Golden Age of Islam was propped up with the contributions of Jewish and Christian scientists and thinkers.

I know this seems a bit nuts but it won't seem as radical in a couple of decades. There is no solution to the issues in Jerusalem. The Arabs want to kill all the Jews and they wanted that even before Israel was formed when they backed Hitler in WWII and enthusiatically approved of the death camps. Check out the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem during WWII for some insight into the Palestinian pathology.
