Dear Allan

I could not agree more with your statements. I did point out that the official labour candidate was unelectable at that time. Again I agree that once upon a time we had politicians with integrity, who did in fact put the nation ahead of their party or themselves. Oh, we had mavericks even then with an eye to the main chance. Sadly they are the rule now rather than the exception.
