Economic: Turkey year by year is still holding true to it's former name as "The sickman of Europe". If you read statistics based on trends, projections show with 40% of its GDP paying just the interest portion of its debt owed and its female population having a worse high school completion rate than Albania and 70% of its roads unpaved. facts are clear, tmrw we Greeks will buy back Constantinople.
Pro's & Con's: Turkey (other than Iran) has the highest young population, which is good for "any" nation that is coordinating well with the needs and demands of it's people, that works well with the government and other neighbors. But Turkey is NOT such a people, ie: The Swiss or most Scandanavian nations. Turkey's pro, becomes it's con, which is why there are 29 political parties and a divided platform on every level from religion to the EU.
Armenian Genocide: It's only a matter of time till Turkey will be forced to pay reparations in the Billions as Germany had to Jews.
Regional: Turkey is in the most violent region in the globe, 35% of the worlds population will be in the M.East and 85%+ radical Islamists. Had Hitler learned from Napoleans mistake, history would of been different when invading Russia. The area will be in civil fights always, it's in their genes and only amplified by Jewish interests to keep the people from being united.
Conclusion: The one that seems the most unimportant is my favorite, any nation loves the Greeks, from the EU to Asia, were warm, loving and people love our food and culture. Every EU country know Turks .... Facts!
