Reader comment on item: NATO Fights the Jihadis
in response to reader comment: Spain proves NATO is not the right tool

The NATO discussion paper is a step in the right direction because it has at least pinpointed the problem. What is the value of "Identifying the root causes of the violence" that is being perpetrated around the world? The people who go on these talk-fests are usually the self-serving politically correct who listen attentively to the one group that lies like crazy in order to grab attention, and to impose their will upon the remainder of the free world.

Whilst NATO has correctly identified the scourge of Islamic Jihad, it has failed to look further afield and to identify those who have become willing accomplices with regard to the spread of Islam throughout the world. There is nothing new about the idea of willing accomplices. That is how the Moors gained possession of Spanish soil. In that case there was a group of wealthy Jews who desired power and they were willing to support the Moors in their conquests. The willing accomplices these days are the useful idiots such as the moonbat journalists of Reuters and AP, plus the fauxtographers who have become the willing spreaders of propaganda. I refer you to the Fauxtography scandal that was uncovered on EURerferendum and Little Green Footballs and elsewhere. The number of staged photographs make a mockery of the way in which the moonbats reported action in Lebanon during the month long war. To their shame the journalist reported several incidents that were meant to embarrass Israel, but these incidents never happened. The Red Cross Ambulance incident springs to mind.

Whilst I am not sure that expanding the member states of NATO is the correct way to go, unless of course NATO takes the place of the now discredited UN, I do think that there will be an expanding role for NATO. The UN has proved that it is incapable of enforcing their resolutions. It is now at the stage when its inner corruption is being revealed. There needs to be a new organization that does not include the Islamic states.
