Israel has a war to win for whom?

Reader comment on item: Israel Has a War to Win

Submitted by Nenette Grunberg (United States), Jul 20, 2006 at 21:06

This is the first time since Israel's wars with the arabs that the western countries, including Russia, have clamped their mouths shut. If it would not be so sad one could laugh at the G8 meeting in St Petersburg. Just for a few moments the French and the Russians and some others opened a weak tired mouth against the Israelis: that they overreacted to the kidnappings, they might have even said that they overreacted to the terrorist missile attacks. After all what is the big deal about two jews being kidnapped or what is the big deal about 100 missiles hitting Haifa .But somebody in this group set them straight quickly. This somebody must have said 'come on you feeble minded (idiots) let the jews fight this battle for us' . They can do this . They owe it to us . We voted in the UN in 1948 to give them their land .
