Reader comment on item: The FBI Fumbles [on Gamal Abdel-Hafiz]

Submitted by Carol Derbis (United States), Apr 24, 2006 at 11:18

The more I read about American Islamists, the more terrified I become. And then I fear that if I write (email) to this site or any other of my fears and/or citing specific incidents involving Islamists, such as Gamal Abdel-Hafiz, will I be subject to a lawsuit from CAIR?
The above mentioned Abdel-Hafiz is a prime example. If, as an FBI agent, he refused to secretly tape fellow Islamists, was that not construed by the FBI as suspicious? Of course not!

It would seem that CAIR is given special considerations in this country by various governmental agencies, thus opening the door for them to open more doors leading toward their desired Caliphate, is it not? This site and Anti-CAIR have reported many incidents of special treatment and of governmental agencies or individual legislators both local and national either looking the other way or opening special doors for Islamists. And all the while, they are slamming more and more doors to Christians throughout this nation - in total violation of our Constitution. I cannot help but wonder what it is going to take to waken Americans to this growing threat! I would think 9/11 would have done it - but seems to have not! And many locales continue to re-elect the same representatives regardless of their continued violation of Constitutional mandates in this regard.

Not one member of Congress (that I've read about anyhow) has done a thing to STOP the activist judges who are destroying this nation and continue to legislate rather than interpret the law as is their mandate! Many members of Congress seem blind to the threat that we face from Islamists who APPEAR to be moderate or "peaceful" - but who, in reality are conspiring to destroy our Constitutional government.

Given the record of Islamists in this country, including many ruling members of CAIR, have already been indicted and jailed for their terrorist-type activities, yet Congressmen and others seem to think that ALL of CAIR should be offered the red-carpet in any case. How many mosques are we surveilling? Do we have any undercover agents infiltrating these mosques and schools and camps, etc. to monitor what they are plotting behind closed door? As our "leaders" continue to treat leading members of CAIR and other Islamists as 'special guests', they (Islamists) are, no doubt, laughing behind our backs for our total lack of caution where they are concerned!

I am convinced that, like the Minutemen at the border, WE THE PEOPLE must take a more active role in watching our own government and trust them less than we have been used to doing in the past! It's heartening to me to see Anti-CAIR willing to work together at times with IW. It is my honest belief that the ONLY hope we have of returning this nation to the government envisioned and started by our Founding Fathers - to be a nation of WE THE PEOPLE, we ALL must be more active! There are a plethora of small groups working to effect this, but my present thinking is that we must start putting some of these groups together. We have far too many platoons scattered about the country, when perhaps what we need to attack a given problem is a battalion! Small groups must band together to return this nation to the once-proud Judeo-Christian foundation that would never crumble under threat from the outside. Small groups MUST swallow pride in favor of the national need. Those who wish to donate to a cause may not do so because of the plethora of possibilities. But perhaps that same person would be more apt to donate to a larger cause. Allow me to explain my thinking, if you would. I have a friend who is Christian, conservative, very patriotic and fears greatly for the future of this country. She (like all of us) receives many, many requests for donations for conservative causes. But she cannot give large amounts, and is "embarrassed" to send a $5 or $10 donation to any one group - though her support for that group is unflagging- because she believes in the work of many of these groups, she cannot afford to give to ALL, so instead gives to none, so that none is 'offended' by her small contribution. But, in her own words, if there were an umbrella group that encompassed all (or most) of the small groups in which she believes, she may be more apt to send a donation of $100 (a very large donation for her!) to that umbrella group.

A larger army is always more intimidating to the enemy (and, it would seem, to Congress as well!) If Stop the ACLU Coalition, for example, were to host a demonstration, it may turn out to be ineffective because of its small size. But if they were to join hands with several other small groups in order to host the same demonstration, the crowd would obviously be larger and it would, I believe, would have more impact.

The immigration issue should have been final proof for all of us that our Congress does not care at all what the American people think or want. After all, all we do is pay their salary, right!? So, according to my reading of the Constitution, if it is not being followed by the governing body, it is up to the people to take over and reinstate the Constitution as our national law. Some are calling this current crisis of deaf representatives who are in violation of their Oath the Second Revolution. I go back to my platoon vs. battalion comparison here and say that we smaller groups must start joining hands to form a more inpenetrable wall for those who would destroy us!
