Mueller must go.Reader comment on item: The FBI Fumbles [on Gamal Abdel-Hafiz] Submitted by Bill Hadney (United States), Mar 18, 2003 at 16:57 Although FBI Director Mueller has a very commendable resume (refer to the URL below), he seems to project, from what I've observed on TV news and CSPAN, the appearance of a spineless bureaucrat, consistently fawning before congressional committees, and never expressing a public sentiment that would strengthen one's confidence either in him as a manager, or in his organization. The difference between the resume and the man is mystifying.I believe the FBI needs active, vigorous leadership projected publicly in support of this country's security objectives. Anything less than that in these times will be demoralizing, as the email on this topic suggests. For this reason alone, Mueller should be replaced. http://www.fbi.gov/libref/directors/mueller.htm Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
