I think the 'tarnished' part would be how racist the Danes are being portrayed..you know, for not bending over and not only NOT kissing the rear ends of the protesters...Look how 60 Minutes handled everything..make the Danes look like criminals and the Muslims look like the victims...so typical for American media.
I see no reason for them to 'repair' anything other than perhaps getting rid of a few thousand burdens on their society.
