Dear J.D., thanks for your brilliant post on terrorism! Yes, I am surprised too when I find that people send comments without doing any research on the subject they're writing about.

Regarding the problems in Sri Lanka, I would like to share my recent personal experience. Last May my husband, our two small kids and myself were visiting my in-laws in a small town in Eastern Sri Lanka. This was the first time my kids met their grandparents and we were supposed to have a religious/social programme in June.

We planned to spend 2 weeks there but had to leave within 4 days because LTTE killed 12 men in the neighbouring village and people were fleeing that area. (You can see the pics at: http://www.spur.asn.au/SPUR_20060920_Massacre_of_Muslims_and_Sinhalese_in_Eastern_Sri_Lanka.htm ).

We had to exit the country and spend the days in India before coming back to the country where we live. We had to leave most of our belongings and spend a big amount on hotels and hospitalisation for both my children who fell sick because of the ordeal they went through. The holiday turned into a nightmare. Our nightmare ended but for the people who live in Sri Lanka, the nightmare is never ending.

When I mentioned LTTE in one of my earlier posts JustMe called me 'Terrorist sympathizer' without really knowing what he/she was talking about. I am a 'human' sympathizer because victims are victims, no matter which colour, creed or religious groups they belong to. When WTC collapsed I was only a few blocks away and I cried for the victims, and when LTTE killed 12 men in Sri Lanka (11 of them were Muslims) I cried for them too.

So I believe that terrorists are terrorists- no matter whether they are Muslim, Cristian, Buddhist or Jews, and they should be eliminated from the face of the world in a systematic way, with patience and intelligence, not by instigating them. Victims are also victims, no matter whether they are white, brown, yellow or black. I think every sensible human being should look at things that way. But unfortunately some people are too selfish to do that. Yes, I agree with you that Danish/American or JustMe haven't heard about the LTTE because their targets have never been the west! How pathetic!

Finally, JD, I hope your comments and the links you sent will benefit the readers, specially those who have little knowledge about things that are happening in the world.
