Reader comment on item: Something Rotten in Denmark?
in response to reader comment: the disease of racism

Submitted by Sapphire (Australia), May 27, 2009 at 02:22

Truthseeker, ... People who migrate to Australia gain social welfare benefits, free medical and hospital access, Government housing and participation in a free and democratic way of life. The crime rate of Lebanese background migrants has seen drive by shootings, drug importation, and motor vehicle "rebirthing" become common.

I am of an age when I clearly remember when these crimes did not exist in Australia. Of course there was always some form of criminality, but nothing on the scale we have today. As an American whose ancestors annihilated the American Indians and enslaved Africans, I don't think you are in a position to comment on our history, and as an American whose ancestors lynched people and ran with the Ku KIux Clan, your ... comments re our early convict settlers are laughable. Truthseeker? What a joke!
