Another Reason

From personal experience in resisting the terror tactics of thugs trying to empty the apartment building where I lived about 30 years ago, I can add a another reason why some people delude themselves into thinking that they can negotiate with evil people.

To see clearly that there exists individuals who are virtually without conscience requires the courage to fight. The tenants who were lacking in courage chose instead the delusion that "making nice" was possible.
