Ali

Even the worst person is likely to do something good sometime-even if inadvertently.

Ali was a great boxer, but not a great human being. He was not a Mensch.

Sometimes W. does things that seem clever and sometimes, more often than I like, he does things that seem stupid. Giving a medal to Ali was stupid and almost wicked. I'm sure W. didn't think it was wicked. He doesn't seem to have a wicked bone in his body. Naive bones sometimes.

He is dead wrong about illegal immigrants. And dead wrong about Norman Mineta and airport insecurity. And dead wrong about trying to be nice to the Democrats. They always respond with malice to any attempt by him to relate to them. Example, the education bill bought him alsolutely no slack with Ted Kennedy.
