Cruel Irreligious Piety-Titus AndronicusReader comment on item: Defending and Advancing Freedom Submitted by Charles Fortner (United States), Nov 5, 2005 at 08:20 The president's policies lack any moral resonance except with those similarly flawed. There is nothing in the policies or actions of this president of any substance that has a kinship with either freedom or democracy; it is all sound and fury-he is untrustworthy are all his machinations. Freedom and Democracy are their own best defense and most dreaded offense (to tyrants). If these united states had simply and honestly simply been about the business they claimed to cherish we would not be in such ill-repute among the nations of the world and even our worst imaginable enemies would respect us.
