Reader comment on item: Why Palestinians Need an Israel Victory
in response to reader comment: The Palestinians are already downtrodden and disillusioned

Just about the only thing that I'm in agreement with Joseph Clogstoun is that the status quo is unsustainable. Israelis need to make some tough decisions soon, or risk losing their country within a few generations. I agree with Daniel Pipes in that our enemies need to be completely defeated. Unfortunately, Daniel, does not specify how this victory is to be achieved. Not more of the same, I hope. The answer, as I've stated before, is the Myanmar Option. Spain did the same thing in 1492 and look what happened, they got their country back.

Israel, facing a looming confrontation with Iran, cannot afford the liability of a dangerous fifth column bent on their destruction. An increasing number of people in Israel and in Europe are fearful of their children being a minority in a Muslim dominated country. We have already seen what happens to Christians (and Yazidis) in Muslim Iraq. Since 2003, 50% of the Christian population of Iraq has either been killed or driven out of the country.
