Dominators versus dominated

Reader comment on item: Weak Brits, Tough French

Submitted by Frenchy (United States), Jul 15, 2005 at 20:54

Terrorism is a common problem all over the world and information needs to be shared at different levels (FBI, CIA, homeland security, DGSE, RG, MI6, ...etc).

A lot of terrorism specialists think the attacks on London are part of a geopolitical terrorism that affects only such or such nation (meaning that Denmark and Italy may be the next ones). On the other side, France is not safe from terrorist acts either since they have a law on veils. Iran wished death on France not a long time ago, but I would like to add that due to french secularism reasons, where the State has its saying unlike London (and Amsterdam) which are the craddle of islamism in Europe, there is an idea of respect in the culture. Being blown up by terrorists in France does not mean that they will share the ideas on the war on terror since they think their ideas are legitimate but they will fight against terrorism inside their own country and not abroad, which would be abnormal to do so (Iraq - Pakistan - Egypt - then blow up Iraq? It's cleary a lack of cartesianism or an intellectual insult). The problem might lay down in the legitimacy of ideas: when does it start and when does it have to end? I personally think that if we want to get rid of terrorism or at least slowing down its rate, then we should define what causes terrorism. Is it political violence that is being censored by the West or inside the UN? If there is terrorism there must be a reason, it cannot happen just like that outside the blue, terrorists do not come from the nuthouse, they have reasons whether they are right or wrong, that's where one of the issue is. Usually in terms of terrorism the persons that blow themselves up, after what I've seen, are only the persons that have been brainwashed by islamists for religious reasons, but the top dogs that control these suicid bombers are political gurus, and for the european case know the the kantic phenomenom between slave and master and they use it for their own political revendications.

Slowing down terrorism is not a political issue, it is a problem that lies down in the gravity center inside the global world.
