Proud of Multiculturalism

Reader comment on item: Weak Brits, Tough French

Submitted by Carrie Supple (United Kingdom), Jul 24, 2005 at 13:25

In response to D. Pipes: I am proud to live in a country which "embraces multiculturalism" and where the Prime Minister's wife defends someone's right to wear the dress of their chosen religion. What does he mean by saying 'Britain has lost interest in its own heritage' ? The Olympics bid film reflects how we have become a much more inclusive society compared to France, and that is our heritage.
