Reader comment on item: Weak Brits, Tough French

Submitted by Abdullah (Malaysia), Jul 23, 2005 at 17:13

1- British and French have committed terrorism agaist nations and these people just need to look to their history of horrible things.

2- The idea of extremism was supported by the Western govt. against the Soviet Now it is agaist them.

3- I am a Muslim and I wish these groups who call themselves Mujahedeen to study Islam first under Ulama not under an infuluential speaker who talks according to his emotions and not Islam.

4- I also recommend to writers such as daniel to consider that Jihad in fighting the non-Muslims who took our land is a must it has conditions and rules and no 'Aalem (muslim scholar) is going to disagree with this

5- Muslims are weak because they dont know much about Islam

6- It is enough to prove that being in a multicultural society is troublesome that is why you need to have regulations and rules to manage the differences.

7- No country has a multicultrual society and yet there is an equality in treatment.
e.g. the country that fights for freedom and equity until today many africans feel that they are discriminated by the white majority.

8- Muslims had a multicultural society not just integrated different races under one religion but also we have successfully integrated other religions and other classes of society(slaves).

But each category has its own law to be obvious unlike in America the law says something and in reality is not.

9- If the British media had tried to integrate the Muslims this wouldn't happen. These people who committed these acts are people who are tricked by extreme people. These extremists have won the hearts and mind of these people because of unjust media.

One of the things that Western media do including some articles on this website. they say about Palesinians who fire AlQassam missiles terrorists but at the same tme they call the people who fire missile by helocopter (Israelis) as defenders. Where actually if we want to be just we should call them terrorists or they are all defenders because both of them kill civilians in fact the Jews kill palestinians more that the tiny Al Qassam missiles kill.

10- The western media forgot that there is another media (Muslim Media) that will bring the mideast problem in a view different than theirs.

Because the Muslims in Western countreis have not been integrated they feel isolated and that reflects on their attitudes towards the society they live in. Thus they try to find other sources.

11- Unemployment rate among Muslims in Western countries is high because of the racist nature of some Westerners. and because the media doesn't help in removing this image towrds Muslims, Westerners prefer non-Muslims employers than a Muslim even if they have the same qualifications.

12- The idea of freedom in the Western world is not well controlled especially freedom of speech:

Don't blame the Muslim scholars of not fighting the extremists. Western govt. let the people who support terrorism to speak out without considering the results.

There are many solutions to put forword to maintain the freedom of speech and at the same time control.

One of the solutions is to make debates between the opponents groups and clear out the points of differences.

Control the hatred terms in a way that accepts arguments and at the same time a feel of respect is there.

e.g. accusing Israel of killing innocent palestinians with proof is not antisemitism idea.

Otherwise the Western Media shouldn't accuse the palestinins of killing innocent Jews because it is antisemitism also ( Arabs are also semitic) !
