Comment on Frenchy: Causes of Terrorism.Reader comment on item: Weak Brits, Tough French Submitted by Jan Vink (Netherlands), Jul 18, 2005 at 10:41 The causes of terrorism are very clear: Islam. There is really no other way to go around this issue, I'm afraid. Terrorism is fueled by the strong religious belief that Muslims are engaged in an eternal battle against "kufr", or unbelievers. Islam was never designed to be a religion among many, but is has to prevail and reign supreme as the only true religion. Islam is utopian and totalitarian. Mohammed started his war against Jews, Christians Pagans and other non-muslims, and the world has seen Jihad (aka terrorism) ever since. Terrorism will be defeated when Islam is "modernised".Cordially,Jan Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
