Hostile Islam: The Biblical PerspectiveReader comment on item: Jihad through History Submitted by william h walsh (United States), Jul 15, 2005 at 09:13 It is easy to become lost in the forest of opinions and countervailing opinions about modernday Islam, foremostly as regards assessing its bent towards radicalism.Within two blocks of my home reside an estimated 2 dozen Islamists and I am hardpressed to say how many of those 24 men and women have an ear inclined to radical musings and/or actively consider hostile acts from time-to-time but according to The Word of God, the likelihood is there are at least one or two (and how many terrorists does it take to blow up a train or a bus or a skyscraper?). But again, it is easy to become distracted when addressing any one facet of multifacetedd Islam---- Ease of becoming cut intellectually adrift is the most-likely reason for the failure of western societies to have identified the genesis of radical Islam, hence, raison d'etre for failing to recognize its solution. FACT ONE: Radical Islam is a SPIRITUALLY-PREDICATED problem, hence an ideological conflict, not a military one. FACT TWO: Spiritually-predicated problems (check with the Palestinians and Israel...) do not yield to secular solutions (guns and tanks) but rather only to superior, spiritually-predicated solutions. FACT THREE: The Word of God not only identifies the genesis of the problem, it also provides its solution (underwritten by the Romans 8:11 Resurrection Power of God...). PROBLEM GENESIS: Open The Word of God and turn to the Book of Genesis, Chapter 16, Verses 11 and 12. PROBLEM SOLUTION: Open The Word of God and turn to the Book of Romans, Chapter 9, Verses 22-24. You, Commentator Pipes, have access to a venue capable of widespread distribution of understanding of the problem genesis and of its solution. How much more blood must be spilled, how many more buildings bombed, trains exploded and buses crushed before you opt to effectively use it? Sincerely, Wm. H.
