Jihad in New York CityReader comment on item: Jihad through History Submitted by Arlinda DeAngelis (United States), Jun 17, 2005 at 21:54 Without a shred of knowledge nor did I care to know who or what caliph, imam, ayatollah, shiek or totalitarian dictaor in the Middle East was declaring jihad and/or fatwah on this or that nation or person, on September 11th 2001, I got a history lesson in Islamic jihad that forever changed my life, my family's life, my city's life and my country's life. It came by plane and killed three thousand of us .... my family included.I stood there and watched the jihad blow up the World Trade Center as the Arabs cheered our deaths for Islamic jihad. Jihad is a vile and sacred thing among the adherents to the Qu'ran. They've been waging it against Israel for decades while the world watched and did nothing. It was a religious thing and that made it an okay war. Who cared. It wasn't us. On September 11th we all became victims of the sacred monster known Islamic jihad. It is important that we know and understand our enemy but it is even more important that we crush Islamic jihad out of existence just like we crushed the fascists in the Twentieth Century. How we crush it is of no concern to me. I am only concerned that we do obliterate it from the planet.
