Britain and Israel- Bed Partners?Reader comment on item: [London Terrorism:] British "Covenant of Security" with Islamists Ends Submitted by Carol Fineblum (United States), Jul 10, 2005 at 12:28 Daniel:As I read news of Palestinian opposition to the Jerusalem divider and your excellent analysis of Britain 's falling from "immunity grace", I realized that Britain was now a macro-Jerusalem. She too will have to create a "wall" that separates herself from the "crazies". Because of her willingness to host all Islamists for many years, she must now contend with the "wall" reality. Now wll this reality give her any empathy for Israel's Islamic dilemma? Likely not. Not because there are no simlarities here, but rather because eternal, latent British anti-Semitism prevents Brits from drawing similarities--even when the facts now place both countries in somewhat analagous positions. What say you? Thanks for being. Dr. Carol Fineblum Needham, MA 781-444-4420 Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
