Dear Dr. Pipes,

For many months now we have been reading your articles chronicling the events of the Islamic revolution. Indeed you are to be complimented for your clear ideas and information. But this is where you stop short. Knowing what our enemies are thinking and what they are planning is no longer very interesting .....because it is useless unless it forms the basis of further action to block these horrific plans.

I have been wondering at least since 9/11 if any plan other than colour - coded warnings and baggage searches will be implemented by governments to thwart these Islamic monsters in the so-called "war" on terrorism. If the US was really serious there is a lot more that could be done in a proactive realistic way to put an end to them. The last time the US and Canada got serious about dealing with national enemies was during WWII when members of the German Bund were often incarcerated, not to mention the wholesale marginalization and imprisonment of all Japanese - lest a fifth column be allowed to operate within and against our countries.

In Canada (October, 1970) the War Measures Act was invoked against a terrorist cell in Quebec. Similar actions must be taken here and in the rest of the western world which basically ignores activity that promises soon to be much worse by modern Islamic fiends. The Saudis, for example, have clearly been implicated in all sorts of hostile activity, yet because we like oil we appease and ignore them.

It is surely time the west got serious about rooting up and destroying these organizations, especially within our own borders. Appeasement and excuses lead always to destruction. The US has already been labelled "The Great Satan", while we have yet clearly to identify or characterize our enemies. Let us no longer stay The Great Accommodating Satan.

In short, it's time to do something serious....and we must look to people like you to suggest ways to begin.
