The real reason: We're all barking mad

in response to reader comment: Is the Barbarity of ISIS Another Attempt to Ensnare the US in the Middle East?

Submitted by Michael S. (United States), Oct 14, 2014 at 07:29

When I lived in Australia in the 1960s, an underground newspaper carried the banner headline,

INDONESIA INVADES DARWIN

The article (a spoof) proceeded to detail how Australia mustered its most powerful and andvanced naval vessels to meet the invading yellow hordes -- namely, a group of tanned, muscular surfers on their surfboards.

If only the Middle East had frontiers as clearly defined as those in Oceania and Southeast Asia! and such clear-cut reasons for getting involved in conflicts!

When Pres. George Herbert Walker Bush (#41) assembled over 500,000 troops to drive Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait in 1990, I noted that this was the first time in history that the US had gotten so deeply involved in the Middle East. Up until that time, the area was the baileywick of the British and French (and Indians and Anzacs!), whereas the Americans and Russians contented themselves with using the Jews and Arabs a proxies in their "Cold War". Since that time, though, it seems as though we're drawn to the place like flies to fresh turds.

Here's a good conspiriacy theory: Obama and his controllers want the US and its Coalition partners to fight ISIS -- no, Assad -- no, the Kurds -- no, the Iranians -- no, the Jews... in order to cause all Westerners to go completely insane trying to figure out just what we are doing there and why.

I have no good explanation. Obama, and all humanity with him, has gone barking mad.
