Instability in the islamic world is very good

Bush and the west hoped for a democratic Iraq when toppled Saddam. It was a sweet dream based on ignorance about islam, enmity between sunnis and shiites, enmity between tribes and ethnic groups and religions. So the dream was not that sweet as it seemed at first.

But what's happening now in Iraq and Syria is in fact very good. And that would not occurred if Saddam would not have been toppled. So in the end Bush can begin to dream a sweet dream again but a different one. Because we now have instability, and nothing changes if not instable. North Korea is stable. But if there is to be a change there it first has to be instability. So we shall not be afraid of instability in regions of hate, oppression and tyranny. Because without instability there'll be no change.

So the question instead is what comes after the instability is changing into stability?

Best would if Iraq and Syria are divided into small states. Kurdish, sunni, shiite, druze etc. This will make the mini-states weak and occupied with their own problems and regional religious wars. Other states in the MENA from Afghanistan to Morocco could likewise be divides into small weak mini-states quarreling with each other.

Let them go their way. They need to learn the hard way that islam, sectarian and tribal thinking has to be abandoned if there'll be any social progress in their part of the world. We in the west meantime can develop our culture of freedom and democracy and concentrate our efforts to manage the dangers from China, Iran and Russia.
