Reader comment on item: Turkish Support for ISIS

Submitted by Ian56 (United States), Jun 18, 2014 at 10:27

Saudi Arabia and Qatar are the largest funders of ISIS, not Turkey. Saudi Arabia and Qatar have already spent over $6bn on Islamic Extremists in Syria.

If the NSA is actually fighting terrorism why haven't they stopped Saudi Arabia, Qatar & Kuwait funding Islamic terrorist groups like ISIS and Al-Nusra? http://ian56.blogspot.com/2014/06/if-nsa-is-actually-fighting-terrorism.html

You neglect to mention the rival gas pipelines that are proposed to run through Syria, which also explains Turkey's support for Islamic Extremists in Syria. http://ian56.blogspot.com/2014/04/syria-update-islamic-extremists-are.html

The CIA is also arming, funding and providing other material support to Islamic terrorist groups in Syria http://ian56.blogspot.com/2014/05/benghazi-libyan-gun-running-cia-cover.html

The situation with Turkey is more complicated than you suggest in this article

Daniel Pipes replies:

I limited myself to one topic in this article - Turkish support for ISIS. I did not touch other support for ISIS, pipelines, or the CIA.
