in response to reader comment: Major Question to ask: Why are there no bomb shelters in GAZA??

Dear Dr Pipes,

Reader Sara's question was brilliant. There are no bomb shelters in Gaza because the Palestinian stance itself is not defensive. The Palestinian stance is aggressive and they do not want peace until they eliminate Israel from the face of the earth. If Palestinians indeed wanted peace, with so many Islamic countries around them they would have been holding conferences to achieve peace in every Islamic capital (by the way of contrast Israeli PM came to U twice and rebuffed by president Obama both times). Islam is the religion of peace but peace is not ingrained in the Islamic mind set (or else leaders of Islamic countries would have been meeting each other to achieve peace in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Egypt, Sudan,...). Israel has everything to gain from peace and its neighbors have a lot to gain from war
