Mr. Tovey,

Thanks for your elaboration on my question. But the point is that we who see what Israel is doing to keep the peace, who see Israel making every human effort to minimize loss of life and property in the face of necessary defense of her citizens, who see the continuing convoys going through to Gaza to allow them food, medical supplies, water, electricity, etc. We see that Israel is fair and just in her positions. We understand that Israel provides shelter, invests funding in developing defensive tools.

But those who read the left leaning news sources, who have a skewed view of reality with Israel constantly portrayed as an apartheid militaristic oppressor state, inflicting cruelty on the poor victimized oppressed 'Palestinians', the Palestinians who continue to attack Israel, who corruputedly steal the monies donated to them by the western world, who come to Israeli hospitals for treatment and then return later wearing suicide vests, and those who not only invest nothing in the safety and security of their civilians, but even more so, they don't just use these civilians as a 'shield, that would be bad enough. It is even worse: they try to maximize the chances of their own population's deaths for propaganda and photo ops.

They believe that 'martyring' for this cause in this way is a valid option. That is why there is no talking to these people. They are unfortunately barbarians. They do not value human (or any other) life. They will accept thousands of deaths of their women and children for a photo op or if it results in any harm to Israelis.

That is why I wanted to pose the question to those who might adjust their thinking a bit by making that comparison. Who really wants peace here and who cares about safety and life.
