Help me understand

Reader comment on item: Count Palestine Refugees?

This may seem to be a silly question, but please explain to me why a Christian would feel obliged to serve the Jewish people who they believed killed god and why does a Christian not become a Jew? The reason I ask this question is I am totally ignorant regarding it, the last time I heard this and asked a Christian, he phoned and asked his priest, the priest laughed and replied: "we don't want to get circumsized"
