Mr Himed is guilty of omission

Reader comment on item: Militant Islam's New Strongholds
in response to reader comment: Islam is being attacked for containing the truth

Submitted by J Mettenbrink (United States), Apr 14, 2012 at 01:06

Mr Himed attempts to set Islam as a non-terrorist ideology. He cited ch 5 to show Islam as innocuous, but failed to cite chapter 9 which is the Jihad chapter of the Quran. There are 164 Jihad verses in the Quran of which 24 are in chapter 9. Because there are so many contradictions (which point to a manmade document, not divinely inspired) iin the Quran, the doctrine of Abrogation was invented to solve this problem.

According to the Islamic doctrine of abrogation the latest revelation succeeds and nullifies previous revelations that contradict it. Chapter nine is set forth as the second the last (latest) revelation in the Quran. It is 129 nine verses of which 24 are Jihad. Interestingly of the 6236 verses in the Quran, fully 20% of chapter nine is Jihad. Chapter 110 (3 verses) was the last to be revealed and is a praise of Allah. So according to Abrogation, Jihad is the order of the day! Oh, and BTW, Islam means submission... Check your arabic Mr. Himed!
