Quran References for commenter Adolescent Muslim

Reader comment on item: Militant Islam's New Strongholds

Submitted by A. Ahmed (United States), Oct 31, 2002 at 14:10

Examples of verses that promote violence are verses from Madina Suras which are anti non-believers and which promote violence against them, decree hell on them ,and obligate jihad for all Muslims against them (3.28,3.85,5.10,8.659.5,9.23,9.29,9.123,14.17,22.19,47.4,66.9 and many more). etc.

You must be reading Dr. Sells' (University of North Carolina) version of Quran consisting of only Meccan Suras promoting tolerance and compromises.
