The last remaining ColonialistsReader comment on item: Militant Islam's New Strongholds Submitted by alfred sporer (United States), May 6, 2003 at 21:02 I regret that Daniel Pipes' article stops short of connecting the dots. Those areas around the world where Daniel Pipes shows there is conflict between Muslims and other religious groups are the very boundary areas of the current Muslim world. Be it in Africa, Europe or the Far East, wherever Muslims become a majority, militant Muslims push for occupying the country and overthrowing the existing government in favor of a Muslim theocracy. On college campuses Arab Musims accuse Israel of being an occupying colonialist power yet it is militant Islam that is the most aggressive colonialist power in the world today. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
