Dear Slahy. I think the universal, western, perceptiom of Islam is evolving well and true, tempered by events such as 9/11,7/7, Tali Hatuel, Munich and THOUSANDS of other atrocities. It may be possible to "civilise" islam but I have a feeling it will be "at 300 yards with a sharps rifle" .as the old American writer Josh Billings suggested when commenting on the trepidations of the Border Indians in about 1830.
