Hire the Israelis

Crazy idea, loosely formed:

Why can't we (American citizens, communities, subdivisions, counties, whatever) hire Israeli experts to come over and teach us how to defend ourselves. This way we can help the Israeli economy, put in place some actual effective security measures, and once placed, begin to spread the ideas and demand something more than a color chart from Tom Ridge.

I would so welcome an opportunity to do something besides worry, read, and worry some more. And I'd be happy to pay significant bucks to learn something useful from a person who has lived with terrorism all his/her life.

The Israelis are masters of arming and informing their citizenry so that every man, woman and child is a soldier when the need arises. Treat Americans like grown ups, and the response might surprise the feds.
