As an atheist,I don"t see anything aesthetic in either religion you refer to. I look at all religions from the point of damage control to secular democratic institutions. Metaphorically ,I'd view Christianity as an annoying little mutt nipping at your heels who has to be swatted on the backside with a rolled newspaper occasionally to keep it in line. Islam is more like a rapacious lobo wolf howling at your door.
