Wishful thinkingReader comment on item: Moderate Islam: Western Ally or Western Myth? Submitted by The Pouch (Australia), Jan 1, 2010 at 04:31 Ms. Sultan argues with currency and fact ... To deal with a problem one first has to understand the problem. Western politicians have for too long chosen to to avoid the problem and hand the buck to the next appointee; sadly one day, one of the Westerners is going to have the buck stop with them and some really hard decisions will have to be made. If you are not confident in my observation then think to any one of the countless Islamic incidents of mass death and destruction and look for all the 'moderates' to stand up and be counted in their opposition of such acts. Truth is you will never hear one voice in the crowd of some 1.6 billion condemn the action.
