Obamas Cairo speech

Reader comment on item: Assessing Obama's Cairo Speech

Submitted by Isaac Flaks (United States), Jun 7, 2009 at 12:25

The question is what can Israel do in regard to Obamas favoring a solution by way of the Arabs. His disdain for violence is an obvious point he would make as a liberal. He lack of looking at the whole picture that means looking at how Israel has suffered through the Arabs constant violence against.Israel. Is Obama so narrow minded and a muslim at heart. To broker a deal there must be agreeable planks fair to both sides.

Sure we would like to see the Arabs stop all violence toward Israel but there is more concessions the Arabs need to give before Israel can be agreeable. Giving up land is not a concession . Let us not forget the West bank never had soveriegnty and does any one remember who started the use of the word Palestine for what is Israel? Before Israel came to be the Arabs just lived there period.
