Why does Obama attach more importance to restricting Israel from building communities in 'no man's land' than to the continued threat of, and destruction of, established residential and business cities in Israel?

Perhaps fortunately the 'Palestinian' Arabs have not emulated Israel's shining example of economic progress from poverty to affluence or they would have easily overtaken and smothered their neighbor Israel years ago.
