History repeating itself off the coast of Somalia !

And lets not forget another timely , "Contribution" of Islam to America.

The first of three wars that we fought as a young independent nation was the " Tripolitan War " -1801 - 1805. It was a military campaign to stop large scale piracy, by the Barbary States (North African) countries at the time. Led by William Eaton who with his little army forced a truce.

Our second war was with the British, in 1812.

Our third war, was the Algerine War in 1815, led by Stephen Decatur. Taking advantage of our weakness after war with England, the pirates and their supporters started yet another war.

The French finally joined our military efforts, and piracy was forcefully ended in that region. Interesting on how many Islamic states have conducted their "foreign policy" via piracy, or terrorism. Nothing has changed.
