how to fight this version of organized crimeReader comment on item: CAIR's Assault on Paul Harvey Submitted by michael fisher (United States), Dec 24, 2003 at 12:32 Almost every article we see about Muslims in general or the Palestinians in particular relating to their war in and with Israel portrays Jews as victims of aggression on the part of the Palestinians/ Muslims. While this is usually a true and accurate portrayal it does little to get to the heart of the problem.Recently, I read a historical novel about the Irish struggle to gain independence from the Brittish. It demonstrated how terrorism associated with national liberation movements is almost always a carefully orchestrated program to gain political and economic power for certain individuals (like Arafat and his associates) in the name of political freedom. Basically such people manipulate the masses with propaganda to create the same atmosphere that mafia-like organizations create for their own aggrandizment. Though we have started to show (in various news outlets) how Arafat is profiting from his revolution we have not done the necessary work of exposing these roots throughout the movement. Merely to show that the opositions does bad things unfairly and that we suffer and endure these things is not useful. We need to show the truth in order to have a voice in the way we are affected by it. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
