Historic case of "sudden jihad syndrome"

Reader comment on item: Sudden Jihad Syndrome – It's Now Official

Submitted by Alan in Kansas (United States), Jan 19, 2008 at 02:40

Dear Mr. Pipes,

In reading your apt definition of "sudden jihad syndrome" it occurs to me that the assassination of Robert Kennedy by Sirhan Sirhan in 1968 was such a case. The followup was also typical. His lawyers entered a plea of insanity for him! A classic case of "sudden jihad syndrome".
