THE STAKES ARE LIFE AND DEATH
Reader comment on item: Sudden Jihad Syndrome – It's Now Official

Submitted by Geno M. (United States), Jan 7, 2008 at 19:36

In Serge Trifkovic' thought provoking book 'The Sword Of Islam' the author describes the historical fate of those unfortunate enough to have been conquered by Islam. He writes

"...[T]he vanquished were culturally disemboweled, condemned to the enforced psychosis of renouncing their old and highly developed identities for a crude and violent desert blueprint that regulated the minutest details of their lives".

One rather unique characteristic of Islam is that when it conquers a people it deliberately and methodically erases the conquered population's past, though their past may have been filled with glory, gentleness and wisdom. Though the civilized world reacted with shock and horror, by destroying the Bâmiân Buddhas, the Afghan Taliban were merely perpetuating a contemporary example of a common Islamic policy that has been in place for more than fourteen centuries.

For those poor souls who survive the initial Islamic scourge, the news does not get better. One is either compelled to undertake conversion to Islam or spend the rest of one's days enduring a miserable existence as something less than a human being, i.e. a dihimmi. In 1933 Hitler made no secret of his intentions toward his enemies, the Jews. Unsurprisingly, his words were consistent with his actions. In 2008, perhaps one thousand Islamic Hitlers bellow from their pulpits similar intonations of death and destruction, this time for Christian and Jew alike. We need only have eyes to see and ears to listen.

This is a war. It is not a war against terror. Like it or not, we are engaged in a life and death struggle against Islam. This is not a war we wanted or brought upon ourselves, but it -has- been thrust upon us and we need to wake up and see things as they are, not how we would wish them to be. We must shed the comfortable fiction that we can find salvation by appealing to moderate Muslims. For there to be moderate Muslims, there must first be a moderate Islam.

There can be no Islam without the Qur'an, which is the sole operating manual for Islamic life and conduct. This pretty much eliminates the hope of an appeal to moderation inasmuch as the Qur'an is shot through with invectives to kill Jews and unbelievers. The Qur'an is a remarkably violent book--and one that happens to be taken literally, word for word, by millions of practicing Muslims. These believers, being true Muslims, have little choice but to follow the path laid out in the Qur'an.

On basically every page, the Qur'an directs the faithful to conduct Jihad, in other words, to slay the unbelievers, in other words us. Accordingly, it is axiomatic that Islam, in its present form, is inherently homicidal, as well as specifically antithetical to moderation. Islam is also diametrically opposed to the core foundations underlying Western civilization. The evidence of this fact is available 24 hours a day on anyone's television.

One need only tune in CNN to witness hordes of angry Muslims in one place or another calling for the death of all infidels, but generally starting with those in the United States & Israel. These people mean to destroy us and, given our present policies, we are leaving our front door open wide for them to do so. Once we realize that there is, practically speaking, no meaningful compromise or negotiation with the followers of The Prophet Muhammad, we shall be in a better position to consider strategies based in common sense rather than wishful thinking. To close with a useful analogy, we can't keep the bees from stinging if we let them build a nest in the middle of our house.

Perhaps it is time to think through how best to get 'the bees' out of our house.
