Very good question, MarianaReader comment on item: [Brandon Mayfield and] Preempt Terrorists, Or Not? Submitted by jennifer solis (United States), Nov 13, 2007 at 14:27 You bring up very good points, Mariana. Why doesn't President Bush and his administration, who "serve the American People", make it a point to inform the American people, with regards to this administration's achievements? With the current, evident, slow but successful results of the "surge" in Iraq, why not give a Presidential news conference, specifically addressing the operation? I realize and am of the opinion that the President has more pressing issues to attend to. However, P.R. is increasingly becomming more and more a neccessary evil. America would benefit by a monthly televised address by our Commander in Cheif, specifically addressing the pros and cons of our operations in Iraq.
