Reader comment on item: [Brandon Mayfield and] Preempt Terrorists, Or Not?

Submitted by jennifer solis (United States), Oct 4, 2007 at 04:09

What is so perplexing is that the numerous Islam-based terrorist attacks that have been pre-empted by utilization of the Patriot Act have not, for security reasons, been revealed to the public. The U.S. Court Judge in question, Ann Aiken, is a Clinton-appointee. The Leftist "You've Got A Friend, Islam"- "Can't We All Just Get Along" approach consistently ignores reality in favor of delusional concepts based on over-estimating the Human Condition. The Islamic culture is struggling with inner-division, extreme poverty, science and engineering retro-gression. Their religion is the one common "strength" they have, and it's their "bottom of the barrel", so to speak. That's why Saudi Arabia's throwing money at it.

Clinton-appointees and the like think that lack of semblance of 9-11 following 9-11 in the U.S. is due to their efforts in "reaching out" to Islamism. Goody, says Saudi Arabia. Let's throw MORE money.

President Bush, for all the criticism, knew what he was doing when he started The Patriot Act. But inspite of it's success, President Bush will most likely never be given credit for it, nor for the many terrorist attacks that were averted and extinguished before they could come to pass. My hat's off to you, President Bush. It's hard to soar like an eagle when you fly with turkeys. -JS
