Kukal (United States), Jun 25, 2003 at 08:16 I am constantly surprised by the naysayers that I have seen overthe years in these forums. What we have here are eyewitnesses telling the truth of what they saw with their own eyes, against those who just blindly believe what they want. The blind believers have used every trick in the book to get one to believe that they know something about this. When a crime is committed and there is absolute proof that it was done by a certain party, do we let them go because we don't know the motive? I doubt it. This was a well planned attack, and the Liberty was meant to go to the bottom. I give my shipmates a lot of credit for keeping the Liberty afloat, but to the naysayers I say it was. "Devine Intervention". I know they don't know much about that, but many men who have been in combat have said the same thing. Just the simple fact that there has never been a Congressional Investigation, and that some of the information still remains classified should tell the average reader that there is something very wrong here. That information has not been released even to this day, at least to my knowledge. It just so happens that the surviving Liberty crew are the only ones who know the truth, and so the only burden we really have is to tell the story that is still kept under wraps by our own government.
