Hard Lessons

Reader comment on item: [Hasan Akbar and] Murder in the 101st Airborne

What is common between us, Americans and Islamist extremists? We all pay the ultimate price to learn hard lessons of life. Extermists will continue to die until they learn that violence does not pay. We will continue to die until we learn that political correctness does not pay and has nothing to do with respect to other nations and faiths.

The difference still remains that they learn their lessons from the position of evil and we learn our lessons from the position of good. I am not sure our lesson is easier. And the first topic we have to learn is that loyalty to your country and care of your citizens should have priority before loyalty to your religion and care of people of your own faith.
