Have we the courage to confront our enemies?

Reader comment on item: [Hasan Akbar and] Murder in the 101st Airborne

My congratulations to Dr. Pipes for having the guts to--very tactfully--address an awkward and painful predicament we face in our religiously free society. What is the true nature of Islam and can we (we being those of us who are not Muslims) trust it as far as we can throw it?

I don't know all the facts about Sgt. Hasan Akbar, but if what I do hear is proven true, I think we've got a Jihad warrior wearing our uniform. Attitude problem? He doesn't like the war? Why did he join the Army?!

His statement "You guys are coming into our countries, and you're going to rape our women and kill our children" should have tipped off his commanders right away that this guy was a HUGE security risk. "OUR" countries?!?!?!

Sounds to me like we should trade this traitor for some of our prisoners...
