Dwell securely in the land- to Syed Mohammad Ali,

Reader comment on item: Rethinking the Egypt-Israel "Peace" Treaty
in response to reader comment: yes israel is the enemy

Dear Syed Mohammad Ali,

Why do the muslims only follow the Quran in parts that suit them. The presence of the jews in Israel is sanctioned by the Quran in which Allah swt told the Jews to live in Israel securely. Why then do the muslim suicide bombing terrorists want to blow up Israel? Or which land (of promise) does al-quran al karim refer to in :

" And We said thereafter to the Children of Israel, "Dwell securely in the land (of promise)": but when the second of the warnings came to pass, We gathered you together in a mingled crowd. "

When was this verse abrogated and substituted by something better?

Why didn't Hadrat Umar radi allah anhu follow the Quran when he invaded a land that Allah swt promised to the Jews by means of his Prophet Musa sasws? Or was Umar one of the muslims that use the Quran as a supermarket where you put in your shopping cart what you need and leave the rest?
