Reader comment on item: Rethinking the Egypt-Israel "Peace" Treaty

Submitted by Andrew B. (United States), Nov 21, 2006 at 12:52

Can anyone tell me why the US has armed Egypt to the teeth? Is it to encourage an attack on Israel?

Is it to force Israel into a greater dependence on US armaments, and thus becom a vassal state?

Is it to provide cash profits for the US military-industrial complex?

One thing is for sure- it could not be to buy the love of the Egyptian people, since they hated the US before becoming a military client, and haven't changed their opinion since.
